Integration Concerns No Barrier to Enterprise Cloud Adoption

A Disturbance in the Force

The Internet is quietly being replumbed. That shouldn't surprise anyone involved with it; the Internet is always being replumbed. But you might be more surprised to learn that the next few years will bring an unusual burst of changes in that plumbing, some with great potential consequences for anyone who relies on the Net. By "plumbing," I of course refer to the protocols and software that make the core features of the Internet work. These have been evolving steadily since 1969, but I don't think any period since the early 1980s has seen as many changes as we'll see over the next few years. Like anything new, these changes will bring both threats and opportunities - but in this case, probably more threats than opportunities. Mimecast Launches Support for Microsoft BPOS

Only one in three emails received is ‘essential’ for work

New research from email specialists Mimecast explores the average employee inbox London, UK; 6 June 2012 - Just one in three emails within business inboxes hold real, immediate value, according to research released today by Mimecast, the leading supplier of cloud-based email archiving, security and continuity for Microsoft Exchange and Office 365. Only 25 percent of email is considered essential for work purposes with an additional 14 percent categorised as being of 'critical importance'. 2012 Future of Cloud Computing Survey Exposes Hottest Trends in Cloud

North Bridge Venture Partners has announced the results of its second annual Future of Cloud Computing Survey. Supported by 39 industry collaborators spanning established leaders, emerging, fast-growth companies, and startups – the 2012 survey captures current industry perceptions, sentiments and emerging trends in cloud computing. This year’s collaborators include companies such as Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Eucalyptus, and Glasshouse. M3AAWG Tackles Robocalls and Other Telephony Threats With Industry-Wide Workshop and New Anti-Abuse SIG
